New Year Irresolution

Amidst the new year and its call for resolutions, it is still midwinter.
And you are still enough.

The land is still silent.
Seeds still sit dormant.
Bumblebees still sleep in the earth
And all of winter’s pause is still paused.

Being with the sleeping mid winter herb garden this morning made me curious about resolution setting at this time of year.

I wondered what’s still brewing for us in the winter dark?
What’s still sleeping and yet to take shape?
What still feels uncertain?
What’s still hidden?
And what of those things that still can’t be rushed or pushed or changed?
Places we still feel hesitant.
Things that don’t feel resolved.

The place of irresolution ~ uncertainty, waiting & pause. Can we stay with that too?
